Beginning June 1, 2006, the Employee and Dependent Scholarship Program allocation site will be moved to the Employee Self Service (ESS) website. For security purposes, employees will no longer use their social security number but instead will use their ESS id and password to access the system. The ESS website is https://firefly.nebraska.edu/.

After logging into ESS, employees should select Scholarship, then Dependent Scholarship from the menu to enter the system.

Employees need their ESS ID and password to access their information. If employees have forgotten their password, it can be reset by using the "Forgotten your password?" feature on the ESS logon screen. If the user is not using a full Lotus Notes client, this feature will not work. Employees not using a full Lotus Notes client will need to email dklimes@unlnotes.unl.edu and request their ESS id and password.

ESS provides University of Nebraska employees online access to their personal data stored in SAP, the university's administrative computing system. ESS is fast, easy and can be accessed 24 hours a day from any computer connected to the web. ESS is an intuitive one-click menu path that makes it easy to find what you need and make changes when appropriate.

Employees who need their ESS id and password may send an email to dklimes@unlnotes.unl.edu requesting this information.
