Barkley Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic extend the following services to employees and community at large: The Clinic provides team assessment for speech-language and educational challenges and treatment services for individuals with speech, language, and hearing disorders ranging in age from infant to geriatric. Assessment and community-based program consultation are available for children and adults with special needs. Participating disciplines include Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, Special Education, and Psychology. When needed, medical consultants are available. Language-Learning Groups provide treatment for children who display language-based learning disorders and experience difficulties achieving in the classroom. The Scottish Rite Program provides intensive specialized treatment for selected children with language disorders.
Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) evaluation and treatment services are for persons who are unable to use speech
to meet all of their communication needs. The AAC clinical program works closely with other agencies to ensure that needs are met
across environments. The program uses state-of-the-art AAC computer and other technology with the Barkley AAC training
laboratory. Services include:
There is not an employee discount program for services at this center due to insurance, Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

University of Nebraska employees, students and their families are all eligible to join and receive access to many financial
services such as free financial education seminars, loans, free checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, notary
services and more. To join, simply call or stop by the credit union at 1630 Q Street or 301 N. 52nd Street and fill out a
membership application to open a Share Savings Account with a minimum opening balance of $5.00. Once you join, you can remain a
member as you keep your account open, even if you leave the University. The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union is a
not-for-profit banking alternative that was founded in 1937 by several faculty members, today the credit union serves almost
10,000 members and offers almost any financial service you might need. The advantage of using a not-for-profit credit union is

The Mary Riepma Ross Film Theater is committed to screening a wide selection of high quality films and videos encompassing
innovative American independent work including non-narrative, experimental films and video; classic foreign and American cinema
illustrative of traditional and historical perspectives; documentaries which examine a wide variety of issues of concern; and
contemporary foreign cinema of substance. The program plays a vital role in the education of the University's Academic community
at large, offering Nebraskans a stimulating alternative to commercial film and television fare by presenting works not ordinarily
offered in this area.Individual and family memberships are available to staff with discounted rates. Admission is $6.50 for

A representative body of the managerial/professional employees on campus, UAAD (University Association for Administrative
Development) operates with the primary objectives of improving operations in managerial/professional areas and promoting
professional development among participating members. UAAD is frequently called upon to provide input on issues affecting
University employees and to provide representatives to serve on numerous important campus committees. Dues are $10 per year, and

University of Nebraska Office Personnel Association (UNOPA) provides professional growth activities and promotes high professional standards for educational office personnel with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. UNOPA offers seminars and workshops that promote professional development to members and nonmembers. UNOPA meets monthly from September through May with speakers or programs scheduled for each meeting representing topics of interest to the members.
UNOPA's goals include encouraging professional growth of the membership through the National Professional Standards Program
(PSP); identifying employee concerns and work within the University system to address those concerns; encouraging members to
learn from one another through mentoring programs, classes, workshops and serving on University or UNOPA committees; to enhance
