| Life Insurance - Employee Coverage |

Employee may purchase term life insurance for themselves and/or their dependents. Term life insurance accrues no cash value. The University provides $10,000.00 of employee life insurance at no costs to the employee. A new benefits eligible employee may purchase up to $50,000.00 of insurance without providing evidence of insurability. However, an employee will need to provide evidence of insurability if more than $50,000.00 of insurance is requested. Such coverage is subject ti denial by the life insurance company. Any additional coverage purchased after initial enrollment will also require evidence of insurability and is subject to denial. If coverage is denied, prepaid premiums will be refunded to the employee. Life insurance premiums are paid with pre-tax dollars, with the exception of the cost of employee life insurance over $50,000.00 and any dependent life insurance coverage. |
