Insured Benefits
Long-Term Disability Insurance

Long-term disability insurance provides income replacement if an employee becomes totally disabled and unable to work. An employee may choose from two waiting or elimination periods (90 and 180 day), and two income replacement levels (50% and 66 2/3%). If an employee is enrolled in the University's employer-sponsored (basic) retirement plan when approved for long-term disability benefits, the insurance company will continue contributions into the retirement account.
