Serving Students the Big Red Way Training
Recent studies indicate that student engagement and retention are increased when faculty and staff regularly interact with students in ways that make students feel that they belong and are successful in the university community.
Last academic year, as a way to improve service interactions, the Department of Human Resources and Student Involvement, in collaboration with the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Dr. Rita Kean, created a two-part workshop, "Serving Students the Big Red Way". Over 350 faculty, staff and administrators attended this 2 part workshop, which is also focused on creating departmental student service plans.
Schedule for upcoming training sessions is to be determined. Questions and requests for further details may be directed to Dr. Nancy Myers at 472-8033 or
