Krier joins Business and Finance as Payroll Manager

Heidi Krier recently joined Business and Finance as Payroll Manager.  

Krier was born and raised in Nebraska and currently lives in Waverly with her husband, two dogs, and their youngest son. She is a proud Mom of two boys, as well as a Stepmom to a son who currently lives in TX, who is an ex-Marine, and is now a full-time student.  

Krier was hired at UNL in 2014 by the College of Engineering where she served as an Administrative Coordinator for the Mechanical & Material Engineering Department, followed by a Personal Generalist position for the College of Engineering Dean’s Office. In June of 2020, she switched to the College of Arts and Sciences to be a Business Manager for the Pound Business Cooperative, where she managed a great team that handled the business functions for seven departments.  

The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day payroll processing duties. This includes performing critical functions regarding the processing of monthly and bi-weekly payrolls. Prepare tax projections and estimates. Assist staff and campus with resolution of payroll issues and questions. Assist with reporting and evaluating payroll information. Assist with developing and presenting training.
