Employee Offboarding

Offboarding is the process of an individual leaving the university.

Employee access to electronic services (Canvas, Office 365 including email, NUgrant, network drives, etc.) will end on the last day of employment (separation date or appointment end date). Emeriti faculty/staff that have active appointments will retain access, per department instructions. Note – this does not include access to Firefly. See Executive Memorandum #16 for more information.

For those with student/alumni @huskers.unl.edu accounts:
When you end your faculty/staff employment at the university, all content from your @unl.edu and all content from your @huskers.unl.edu will be deleted. Your student/alumni @huskers.unl.edu account will be suspended for seven days when you end your faculty/staff employment and any email sent to that account will receive a bounce back. After the seven days your @huskers.unl.edu account will be available to you and will no longer have any content.
