ATHLETIC TICKETS

Full-time regular employees of UNL get a discount on two season tickets (with availability), when they purchase season tickets for men's & women's basketball, volleyball, and baseball. BUS SERVICE

UNL contracts with City of Lincoln StarTran to operate bus routes that connect East, Downtown and Innovation Campuses. The routes run Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters and provide timely access throughout the day. Passes are available, and required, for students, faculty and staff to use these services. (Top)

CAMPUS RECREATION

Campus Recreation memberships are available for employees in three options; 3 month, Academic Year (9 months), and Annual Year (12 months). Payroll deduction is available for Academic and Annual options. The Campus Recreation accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and NU Express Card. A payroll deduction option is also available. Memberships are also made available to spouse and dependents of employees. Memberships are valid for use at all facilities (Campus Recreation CenterRecreation & Wellness Center + Outdoor Adventures Center).  (Top)

COMPUTERS, SOFTWARE, TECHNOLOGY & CELLULAR SERVICES at HuskerTech

Employees/students with UNL ID receive academic pricing on various computer hardware and software products as well as cellular products and services with Sprint and Verizon.

Software licenses available to faculty/staff for home use can be found on the IT Procurement site. While you are affiliated with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, you can install Microsoft Office on multiple devices (up to five) at no cost to you. UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

University of Nebraska employees, students and their families are all eligible to join and receive access to many financial services such as free financial education seminars, loans, free checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, notary services and more. To join, simply call or stop by the credit union at 1720 P Street or 301 N. 52nd Street and fill out a membership application to open a Share Savings Account with a minimum opening balance of $5.00. Once you join, you can remain a member as you keep your account open, even if you leave the University. The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit banking alternative that was founded in 1937 by several faculty members, today the credit union serves almost 10,000 members and offers almost any financial service you might need. The advantage of using a not-for-profit credit union is that earnings are returned to the members in the form of higher savings rates, lower loan rates and lower / less fees.  (Top)

EMPLOYEE & DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

Full-time and retired employees who wish to continue their education may be eligible for tuition assistance through the employee scholarship program. Spouses and dependent children may also be eligible for this benefit.;

  • The Employee Scholarship Program is limited to no more than fifteen (15) credit hours in any 12-month period (August through July) and is normally restricted to no more than six (6) credit hours per semester.
  • The Dependent Scholarship Program allows all regular full-time employees to transfer up to a total of fifteen (15) credit hours per year (August through July) to their spouse or to any dependent child at tuition equal to the University's resident tuition charge per semester credit hour at the campus of attendance. (Top)

UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTER by Nebraska Medicine

INNOVATION STUDIO

Nebraska Innovation Studio is Nebraska's largest makerspace.  They have tools and equipment ranging from woodworking to ceramics, textiles to design software, as well as 3D printing and laser cutting to electronics. NIS is open to anyone. UNL students, faculty, and community members are all welcome. Memberships are available for six months to one year. Discounts available for students, faculy/staff, retirees, and alumni. (Top)

INTERNATIONAL QUILT STUDY CENTER & MUSEUM

The International Quilt Study Center & Museum's mission is to build a global collection and audience that celebrate the cultural and artistic significance of quilts. The International Quilt Study Center & Museum at Quilt House is located on East Campus at 33rd and Holdrege streets. The museum has the world's largest publicly held quilt collection, dating from the early 1700s to present and representing more than 50 countries. The museum makes its home in the Department of Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. LARSEN TRACTOR MUSEUM

Visit the Larsen Tractor Museum to learn how tractor testing and performance data continues to contribute to more successful uses of tractors in agriculture. LOEFFEL MEAT SALES

The Animal Science Department operates the Meats Sales Store at the Loeffel Meat Laboratory, 38th and Fair St. on the East Campus. The Store is open Tuesdays from 1-5:30 pm and Fridays from 11:30 am – 5:30 pm. The Store has beef, pork, lamb, and poultry products, cured and smoked ham and bacon, sausage and sliced meats and other processed meats for sale. Fresh bulk eggs are also available. NCARD

Designed to be UNL employees' permanent photo identification card. Faculty and staff may open an NCard Account. Charges made using the NCard appear as a payroll deduction. The NCard account can be used for payment at over 30 UNL locations. (Top)

PARKING & TRANSIT SERVICES

The UNL Parking & Transit Services develops and manages all forms of campus parking and bus transit services in a safe and reliable manner. Learn how to park on campus, use StarTran buses to travel between campuses or even plan your parking for game day/departmental events. Employees may pay for their UNL parking permit or bus pass through payroll deduction instead of single payments. Receive a free Star Tran bus pass with your UNL ID and purchase of parking permit. 

Carpool Program

UNL offers a Carpool Program that allows at least two (2) full time UNL employees to share a vehicle for the price of a regular non-reserve parking permit. This program is part of UNL's effort to be more environmentally friendly by reducing auto emissions. Carpool members also benefits from time and financial-savings. PASSPORTS

UNL is an Authorized Passport Application Center and can assist you in completing your passport application process in an efficient manner. MARY RIEPMA ROSS MEDIA ARTS CENTER

The new media arts center features two screens, state-of-the-art technology, a research library and film storage archive, offices, and a concessions stand. In it, we are able to show everything from silent movies to the most recent technologies, the new electronic (digital) cinema, and everything in between. UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION FOR ADMINISTRATIVE DEVELOPMENT (UAAD)

A representative body of the managerial/professional employees on campus, UAAD operates with the primary objectives of improving operations in managerial/professional areas and promoting professional development among participating members. UAAD is frequently called upon to provide input on issues affecting University employees and to provide representatives to serve on numerous important campus committees. Provides seminars and workshops that promote professional development and high professional standards for educational office personnel with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Programs are usually held once per month during the academic year.
