Staff Compensation

To meet the objective of recruiting and retaining the most qualified staff, Human Resources will work with department/unit leaders to ensure that all relevant salary information is considered when making a salary determination.

Prior to filling a position, unit leadership has the responsibility for determining the hiring pay rate or range of pay within which the starting pay will fall. Unit leadership should consult with HR in determining appropriate rate/range.
