#NCLUDE: Inform. Reflect. Everyday Action
#NCLUDE learning groups offer a space to talk candidly about community and belonging as a part of our everyday interactions. These small groups are intended to develop relationships in concentrated areas of introspection over a semester to help students, faculty, staff, alum, and the larger community understand and embrace the opportunities we have to create a greater sense of belonging for all and learn in small groups. All are welcome.
NCLUDE Networking
NCLUDE traditionally brings small groups together for six in-depth meetings over a semester, the new NCLUDE Networking Sessions are designed for those who may not have the availability for a long-term commitment but are still eager to build connections and learn from colleagues across campus.
Each 90-minute session will feature a unique blend of learning and connection:
- Informal Welcome (15 minutes): A chance to grab a refreshment and casually greet fellow attendees.
- Microlesson (15 minutes): A different university department will lead a concise, engaging presentation on a topic within their area of expertise. These microlessons are crafted to spark thought and conversation, aligning with NCLUDE's mission to leverage diverse voices and promote a cognitive shift toward community building.
- Speed Networking (1 hour): Get ready to connect! This interactive segment, similar to "speed dating," will provide participants with five opportunities to engage in focused, one-on-one conversations. Attendees will respond to pre-determined prompts related to the microlesson and broader themes of campus community, ensuring meaningful interactions and new connections.

Learning Together
Each semester, we'll offer and facilitate the organization of various small learning groups. In each small group, six to twelve people gather for at least six one-hour meetings (virtual or in-person) to focus on a particular topic of interest. The focus of small groups varies but may include topics like learning together, community and belonging. Group members prepare for meetings by reading, journaling, or other forms of self-education. Meetings focus on collective reflection regarding the material as it informs their personal and professional lives, emphasizing everyday actions individuals can take to address their particular topic. At the end of the semester, participants will attend a large gathering to collectively reflect on the learning that took place over the course of the semester.
It’s wonderful to be part of the #NCLUDE community and feel the support and commitment to change our world. Thank you for the opportunity and encouragement!!!!
