Before You Begin
- Review the Recruitment & Selection procedure manual and understand the available employment categories.
- Determine if your area/department has a designated HR specialist with access to the PeopleAdmin system. If you do not have an HR specialist to assist you with these tasks, you will need to create an account in the system. For training or assistance, contact hrclasscomp@unl.edu or refer to the reference materials in SAPHHIRE (UNL > Payroll and Human Resources > PeopleAdmin).
Hiring Units are Responsible for
- Ensuring that hiring practices and decisions uphold the intent of the university's Notice of Nondiscrimination.
- Ensuring full compliance with university's Recruitment & Selection Policy and EM 33 Policy on Non-Faculty Recruitment and Retention.
- Verifying the veterans' preference for employment under Nebraska state law.
