You are the most important asset at the University of Nebraska. As an employee, you are part of nearly 6,000 faculty and staff that keep our university running. We value one-on-one relationships to form connections, transform lives, and realize the power of every person.
We believe every person and every interaction matters. — N2025 Strategic Plan
Life in Lincoln
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln calls the state’s vibrant and emerging capital city home. Lincoln is what happens when Midwest friendliness meets big city innovation. Filled with rapidly-expanding tech companies, active arts scenes and cultural communities, it's a city that encourages growth and inspires its citizens.
Working on (or off) Campus
UNL's City, East, and Innovation campuses are cities within the city. City Campus borders downtown to the north, and has a park-like urban character. East Campus is less dense, with a magnificent 'woodsy' getaway in the Maxwell Arboretum, a grove of large specimen trees and shrubs. Innovation Campus is a campus designed to facilitate new and in-depth partnerships between the University of Nebraska and private sector businesses.
While not all positions lend themselves to flexible work arrangements or remote work; similarly, not all aspects of every position's work needs to be completed in-person. We support flextime and remote work for employees when their position allows it.
