Frontline Service Employees

A Frontline Service Employee is a staff member who regularly interacts with students, faculty, staff, or visitors to provide assistance, information, and services that support the university's daily operations and campus community.

Who Are Frontline Service Employees

The following job classifications are front line positions that are frequently hired and critical to campus operations. Each of these classifications includes multiple specific titles.

  • Dispatcher
  • Police Officer
  • Research Technician I, II 
  • Ag Research Technician I, II
  • Childcare Teacher

Any non-exempt (hourly) position within the Facilities Planning & Operations (FP) job family including, but not limited to:

  • Custodian  
  • Building Service Technician I, II
  • Groundskeeper 
  • Facilities Maintenance Technician

Any non-exempt (hourly) position within the Food Service (FD) job family, including but not limited to:

  • Food Service Associate I, II
