Final Paycheck
Your final paycheck will be direct deposited into your bank account according to the normal payroll schedule.
W-2 and Taxes
Your final W-2 will be mailed to your permanent address on file in Firefly by February 1 of the year following the end of your employment. If there is a change of address after your separation date, but before the end of the calendar year, you must notify Payroll Services so year-end tax statements can be forwarded to the new address.
Leave Payout
Contact your HR representative to confirm any vacation or sick leave, and floating holiday balances that qualify for payout.

Retirement
- Option 1: You may request payout of your accrued and unused vacation, floating holiday, and compensatory time earned through your retirement date.
- Option 2: You may request a retirement date beyond your last day worked using your accrued and unused vacation, floating holiday, and compensatory time earned through your retirement date.
Supplemental Salary Payment
Office/Service employees who are hired before January 1, 2019, and who retire from the University before July 1, 2035, shall receive a supplemental salary payment equal to ¼ of their unused accrued sick leave up to a maximum 360 hours with the rate of payment equal to the regular rate of pay at the time of retirement. Office/Service employees hired on or after January 1, 2019, will not be eligible to receive the ¼ supplemental salary payment upon retirement.
An employee hired before January 1, 2019, who transfers from the Managerial/Professional classification to the Office and Service classification on or after January 1, 2019, will not be eligible for the ¼ supplemental salary payment upon retirement.
Managerial/Professional staff do not receive, upon retirement or death, the supplemental salary payment equal to ¼ of their unused accrued sick leave.
